Dr. Adkins Boone attended UNC Chapel Hill for her undergraduate where she received a BA in biology and chemistry. Dr. Adkins went on to dental school at UNC-Chapel Hill and is currently doing an advanced education in general dentistry residency at UTHSC in Memphis, TN.

Dr. Adkins Boone became a dentist because of personal experiences she had growing up. Her goal is to give people beautiful and healthy smiles to improve their quality of life and self-confidence. Her concentration in her current AEGD is on crown and bridge, implant restoration, and cosmetic dentistry.

In her free time, she enjoys watching sports, yoga, and hanging out with her fiancé Hunter Boone (who is in oral surgery residency at UC) and their Golden Retriever, Rosie. They love trying new restaurants and coffee shops in town as well as working on home projects at their new house in the Oakley neighborhood.

Dr. Richa Patel

Education:

UNC Adams School of Dentistry
Doctor of Dental Surgery

Expertise:

  • General & Family Dentistry
  • Restorative Dentistry
  • Oral Surgery & Extractions
  • Fixed & Removable Prosthodontics

About:

Dr. Richa Patel knew she wanted to become a dentist as early as the fourth grade. After watching her mom go through several dental surgeries, she saw firsthand the impact a skilled and compassionate dentist can have on someone’s life. Her own positive experiences at the dental office reinforced that dentistry could be a fun and welcoming environment. As she grew older and learned more about the profession, she discovered how much she valued the team dynamic and the opportunity to build strong, one-on-one relationships with patients.

Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Patel is proud to be a double Tar Heel, having completed both her undergraduate and dental degrees at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Although she never imagined leaving North Carolina, life had other plans once she met her husband. In recent years, she’s experienced everything from the Texas heat and Tex-Mex cuisine to scenic drives through West Virginia. Now, she and her husband are excited to call Ohio home.

Dr. Patel enjoys many aspects of general dentistry, with a special interest in making dentures, partials, crowns, and bridges. She also finds fulfillment in restorative work and extractions and is committed to expanding her clinical skills through ongoing continuing education.

Outside of the office, Dr. Patel enjoys being outdoors, staying active at the gym, and finding time to relax at home. She and her husband love to travel, hike new trails, and explore the natural beauty around them. When they’re not adventuring, you can often find them at home enjoying a good drama series.

Dr. Danielle Whittaker

Education:

The Ohio State University
Doctorate of Dental Surgery

Expertise:

  • General Dentistry
  • Restorative Dentistry
  • Crowns and Bridges
  • Dentures and Partials

About:

Dr. Whittaker is a dedicated general dentist with a strong focus on restorative dentistry, crown and bridge work, dentures and partials, and endodontics. With a passion for both precision and patient care, she brings a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to every aspect of her practice.

Her path to dentistry was inspired by a deep interest in forensic science. Growing up with the goal of working in healthcare, Dr. Whittaker was originally drawn to forensic anthropology. After learning more about the field and receiving guidance from a mentor, she realized her true interests aligned more closely with forensic odontology. While researching careers one summer at her cottage in Canada, she discovered that many forensic dentists practice general dentistry and contribute to forensic investigations on the side. It was a perfect match. With her love of science, healthcare, helping others, and creativity, dentistry quickly became her calling.

Dr. Whittaker will be pursuing a fellowship in Forensic Dentistry at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee during her first year of practice. She looks forward to integrating her clinical skills with her forensic interests as she continues to grow as a healthcare professional. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting and reading.
